Ambassador of Turkmenistan Presents Credentials to Indonesian President Prabowo

JakartaNovember 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: A solemn ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia (Merdeka Palace) in Jakarta, where the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Indonesia, M. Mashalov (with residence in Kuala Lumpur), formally presented his credentials to President Prabowo Subianto.

The ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of Turkmenistan, marking the formal commencement of the diplomatic occasion.

Ambassador Mashalov conveyed warm greetings and sincere wishes to President Prabowo Subianto on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President Prabowo Subianto congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the esteemed diplomatic post and expressed his best wishes for success in his mission to strengthen Turkmenistan–Indonesia relations.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared interest in enhancing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Indonesia across multiple fields, including political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

On this occasion, Ambassador Mashalov extended an official invitation from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to President Prabowo Subianto to undertake an official visit to Turkmenistan.

Following the credentials presentation, the newly appointed ambassadors held a meeting with Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sugiono. The Foreign Minister assured full support and assistance in facilitating the diplomatic activities of the ambassadors.

Both sides expressed mutual readiness to maintain regular communication between their respective foreign ministries to further deepen and expand bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Indonesia.
