Washington, January 24, 2024, The Europe Today: In a dignified ceremony, the Uzbekistan Embassy in Washington celebrated the unveiling of the bust of the eminent scientist and thinker, Abu Rayhan Beruni. The event took place in front of the embassy, where guests were immersed in the life, work, and invaluable scientific legacy of Abu Rayhan Beruni, highlighting his profound contribution to the history of world civilization.

Frederick Starr, a distinguished member of the Scientific Council of the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan, delivered an enlightening report on the substantial contributions of Abu Rayhan Beruni to the development of world civilization.
Starr emphasized the visionary nature of Beruni’s work, noting that the great scientist proposed the hypothesis of an overseas continent nearly 500 years before Christopher Columbus’s historic discovery of America.
