Doha, March 11, 2024, The Europe Today: In a diplomatic exchange aimed at fortifying the ties between Uzbekistan and Qatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyar Saidov, conducted a fruitful meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jasim Al Soni, during his official visit to Doha.
Expressing satisfaction at the meeting, Minister Saidov conveyed on his Telegram channel, “We are pleased to meet with His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jasim Al Soni today in Doha.” The discussions centered around the timely implementation of agreements previously established by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Qatar.
The high-level talks covered a spectrum of topics, including the broadening bilateral relations between the two nations. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing economic cooperation, with a focus on exploring avenues for further collaboration in various sectors.
It is noteworthy that Minister Saidov’s visit builds upon the momentum initiated at the Doha Forum in early December of the previous year. During this forum, the Uzbekistani Minister of Foreign Affairs engaged in negotiations with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, where discussions revolved around expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The talks also emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural diplomacy to foster a deeper understanding between the two countries.
