Lahore, May 18, 2024, The Europe Today: Sardar Saleem Haider, the PPP backed governor of Punjab, took his oath of office on Friday 10th May 2024. The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC), Shahzad Ahmad Khan, delivered the oath to Haider. The ceremony was attended by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Chairman (PPP), Maryam Nawaz Chief Minister of Punjab ,Sharif Baligh Ur Rehman former Punjab Governor , Syed Mehdi Shah Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Khursheed Shah Senior leader (PPP) , Hassan Murtaza senior leader (PPP), Makhdoom Shahabuddin (PPP), Zaildar Ahsan Shah Chairmen Pakistan and Romania friendship association, Member Pakistan Peoples Party PPP.
After Sardar Saleem Haider took the oath, PPP workers passionately chanted slogans with “Jiye Bhutto”. This showed their strong loyalty and deep respect for the Bhutto family’s legacy. The atmosphere was charged with their enthusiasm and devotion. Sardar Saleem Haider, a former MNA from Attock, served as a statesmen and Prime Minister’s advisor for overseas Pakistanis under the PML-N.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed PPP leaders following the ceremony. He conveyed his delight at witnessing a committed Jiyala (PPP) assume the highest role in the province. Sardar Saleem Haider arrived in Lahore earlier on Thursday, when he was offered a cordial welcome at Thokar Niaz Baig by Central Punjab PPP general secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza, along with other leaders Zaildar Ahsan Shah , Zulfikar Badr, Sardar Hassan Nawaz, Chaudhry Akhtar Ali, Ahsan Rizvi, Usman Awan, Fazal Shah.

Sardar Saleem Haider , Governor of Punjab, was greeted with dedication as he made his way to his hometown, Dharnal, Tehsil Fateh Jhang, District Attock, in a big procession from Islamabad following his oath taking ceremony.
Excited multitudes lined the route, greeting Governor Punjab at key points like as the Brahma Bahtar Interchange, Taj Bara,and Fateh Jhang Interchange. Flower petals lined the way of Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider’s car, symbolizing the people’s fondness and respect. Governor Punjab stopped intermittently to interact with the populace, exchanging welcomes and handshakes along the convoy’s path.
A large crowd welcomed Governor Punjab at the Dharnal stop, where he expressed thanks for the warm reception and reiterated his commitment to the welfare and development of the people.
