Dubai, May 24, 2024, The Europe Today: The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been honored with the prestigious Excellence in International Cooperation Award, as announced by the Uzbek media. This accolade is part of the Excellence in Government Award, established in 2014 by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid.
This year, nine accredited embassies and four consulates in the UAE were recognized for their outstanding contributions. The award was presented to Ambassador Abdulaziz Aqkulov of Uzbekistan by UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Minister commended the flourishing trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the UAE, highlighting the pivotal role of both countries’ foreign policy offices and diplomatic missions in fostering these relationships.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his gratitude to the Uzbek Embassy team for their dedicated efforts and extended his best wishes for their continued success in advancing bilateral relations.
The ceremony also honored various departments and employees of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in different categories, underscoring the significance of diplomatic excellence and international cooperation.
The Excellence in International Cooperation Award recognizes embassies and diplomats who make significant contributions to strengthening diplomatic relations. The recognition of the Embassy of Uzbekistan underscores its commitment to enhancing the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE.
