Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Receives New Philippine Ambassador

Tashkent, June 01, 2024, The Europe Today: On May 31, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, formally received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Philippines, Roberto G. Manalo, according to Uzbek media reports.

“We are pleased to accept the credentials of Mr. Roberto G. Manalo, who was appointed Ambassador of the Philippines to Uzbekistan,” Minister Saidov announced on his official Telegram channel. “We exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral relations between our countries. Undoubtedly, there is enormous scope for expanding the cooperation agenda in all directions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan supports the Ambassador’s efforts to contribute to the realization of the huge untapped potential in Uzbekistan-Philippines relations.”

Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the Philippines were established on April 13, 1992. This meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening the ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
