In the mixed doubles semifinal, top seeds Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong secured a hard-fought victory over Thailand’s Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai with a scoreline of 21-19, 21-19. They will compete for the title against fellow Chinese pair Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin.
The women’s doubles semifinal witnessed Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan triumph over Japan’s Mayu Matsumoto and Wakana Nagahara in a thrilling three-set match, finishing 21-10, 15-21, 21-17. In the men’s singles, Shi Yuqi overcame his compatriot Li Shifeng in a tense match, with scores of 19-21, 21-19, 21-14. Shi will compete against Denmark’s Anders Antonsen in the final.
