Xiamen, June 15, 2024, The Europe Today: Senior official Wang Huning emphasized on Saturday that China possesses the resolve, confidence, and capability to thwart any separatist attempts for “Taiwan independence.” Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made this assertion while addressing the main meeting of the 16th Strait Forum in Xiamen, Fujian Province.
During his speech, Wang reiterated China’s unwavering position on the Taiwan issue, emphasizing that any form of separatist activity aimed at achieving Taiwan’s independence would be resolutely countered by the Chinese government.
