Budapest, June 29, 2024, The Europe Today: Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov recently met with Miklos Lendel, Deputy Secretary of State for Education, Scholarship Programs, and Scientific Diplomacy of Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as reported by the Uzbek media.
The meeting focused on enhancing mutual cooperation and strengthening relations through the Hungarian “Hungaricum Scholarship” program. Discussions also included joint scientific research and support for start-ups and innovative projects, with potential involvement from the European Union.
Miklos Lendel expressed his commitment to advancing multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
As a result of the meeting, both parties agreed to hold the next forum of rectors of higher education institutions from the two countries in 2025.
