Uzbek Delegation Led by Samarkand Governor Erkinjon Turdimov Visits Yekaterinburg to Strengthen Bilateral Trade and Cooperation

Yekaterinburg, July 03, 2024, The Europe Today: With the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, a high-profile delegation led by the Governor of Samarkand region, Erkinjon Turdimov, conducted a practical visit to Yekaterinburg, as reported by Uzbek media.

During the visit, the grand opening ceremony of “SAG” Limited Liability Company Trading House took place at the “Uyutt Hall” shopping center in Yekaterinburg. The trading house specializes in large-scale carpet production in the Samarkand region. The event was attended by representatives from the government of the Sverdlovsk region, Yekaterinburg city officials, businessmen, and members of the diplomatic corps.

In his speech, Governor Turdimov emphasized the robust development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in recent years. The attendees highly praised the type and quality of carpet products produced by the “SAG” company.

The visit also facilitated B2B meetings between business representatives from the Samarkand and Sverdlovsk regions. These discussions resulted in several concrete agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral trade.

Governor Turdimov also held a special meeting with Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, Vasiliy Kozlov. The two leaders exchanged views on accelerating cooperation between the Samarkand and Sverdlovsk regions in various fields, including tourism, professional technical education, pharmaceuticals, and construction. They also discussed the implementation of joint projects.
