Kuala Lumpur, July 15, 2024, The Europe Today: Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Karomiddin Gadoyev, held a meeting with the leadership of the British-Malaysian Institute (Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysia Institute – UniKL BMI), which is a part of Kuala Lumpur University, as reported by Uzbek media.
During the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Zubr, head of the Department of Medical Engineering Technologies at UniKL BMI, provided an in-depth overview of the institute’s activities. The UniKL BMI Institute annually trains over 400 professionals in fields such as electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, and medical electronics, with a strong emphasis on practical experience. In 2023, 97 percent of its graduates secured employment.
Given the high demand for specialists in the repair of medical equipment in Uzbekistan, the meeting highlighted the potential for cooperation in this field. Both parties agreed to establish a joint educational program to train engineers specializing in the repair of medical equipment. This program will be based at the Medical Technical College of the Samarkand region in collaboration with UniKL BMI Institute.
