Islamabad, July 18, 2024, The Europe Today: Pakistan’s top batter, Babar Azam, has retained his third position in the latest ICC Test batter rankings.
According to the rankings issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC), New Zealand’s Kane Williamson holds the top spot, while England’s Joe Root is ranked second. England’s emerging talent, Harry Brook, has climbed three places to secure the 7th position, and his compatriot Zac Crawley has also risen three spots to 13th.
In the Test bowlers’ rankings, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin remains at the top. James Anderson of England concluded his Test career ranked 8th, while Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi is placed 9th among Test bowlers. Additionally, India’s Ravindra Jadeja continues to lead as the best Test all-rounder.
These rankings reflect the recent performances and form of players, highlighting the competitive nature of international Test cricket.
