Tashkent, July 20, 2024, The Europe Today: A delegation of Thai business representatives led by Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Busadi Santipitaks, is visiting Uzbekistan from July 19 to 25, with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok, according to Uzbek media reports.
The Thai delegation, comprising around 20 representatives from seven leading companies in sectors such as medicine, tourism, trade, transport and logistics, and energy, was received with a ceremonial welcome at Tashkent International Airport.
“In recent years, we have been witnessing large-scale socio-economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the head of your state, the growing international prestige of the country in the world community. The purpose of the visit is to accelerate bilateral political dialogue, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations, to expand and to see with our own eyes the positive changes in Uzbekistan, and promising cooperation potential,” stated Busadi Santipitaks.
During their visit, members of the Thai delegation will hold meetings with various ministries and offices in Uzbekistan. They will also travel to Samarkand, Jizzakh, Namangan, and Fergana regions, where B2B negotiations with local businessmen will be organized. Additionally, the delegation plans to inspect local companies, production facilities, and trade centers.
This visit aims to strengthen bilateral political dialogue and foster economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations between Thailand and Uzbekistan, leveraging the promising cooperation potential identified by both nations.
