China Allocates 66 Million Yuan for Urgent Road Restoration Following Floods and Geological Disasters

Beijing, July 26, 2024, The Europe Today: The Ministry of Finance announced on Friday that China has allocated 66 million yuan (approximately 9.26 million U.S. dollars) to support the urgent restoration of roads damaged by recent rain-triggered floods and geological disasters.

The funds will be utilized to repair and restore roads affected by flooding and geological events across six provincial regions: Shaanxi, Sichuan, Henan, Shandong, Chongqing, and Jiangsu. The allocation aims to ensure the safety and functionality of road infrastructure during the ongoing flood season.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of swiftly addressing the damage to maintain the safety and connectivity of transportation networks in these affected areas. This initiative is part of the broader efforts by the Chinese government to mitigate the impact of natural disasters and safeguard essential infrastructure.
