Ashgabat, August 06, 2024, The Europe Today: Turkmenistan is gearing up to send its athletes to the Turkic World Thai Boxing Championships, set to take place in Istanbul from August 14 to 18. The event is organized by the Turkish Thai Boxing Federation and reported by Anadolu Agency.
The championships will be supported by the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), and the Organization of Turkic States (OTG).
Alongside Turkmenistan, athletes from several countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Iran, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, will participate in the competition.
The official opening ceremony of the tournament is scheduled for August 15, with the final bouts and award ceremony set to take place on August 18. This event represents a significant opportunity for athletes from Turkic nations to showcase their skills and foster cultural and sports exchanges.
