Pakistan Successfully Conducts Training Launch of Shaheen-II Ballistic Missile

Islamabad, August 21, 2024, The Europe Today: Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of its surface-to-surface ballistic missile, Shaheen-II, on Tuesday, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The launch was designed to train troops, validate technical parameters, and evaluate the performance of various subsystems aimed at improving accuracy and enhancing survivability.

The training launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, as well as scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.

The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division lauded the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of the scientists who played a key role in achieving this milestone.

Congratulatory messages were also issued by the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Services Chiefs, who praised the scientists and engineers for their significant contribution to Pakistan’s strategic capabilities.

Shaheen-II is a highly capable missile with the ability to deliver nuclear warheads over a vast range. It is designed to meet Pakistan’s strategic needs and maintain minimum deterrence stability in the region.
