Beijing, August 23, 2024, The Europe Today: Chinese President Xi Jinping lauded the “outstanding contributions” of late leader Deng Xiaoping and urged the continued advancement of socialism with Chinese characteristics, a path initiated by Deng, as the nation commemorated Deng’s 120th birth anniversary on Thursday.
Speaking at a meeting held to mark the occasion, President Xi, who also serves as general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of thoroughly studying and applying Deng Xiaoping Theory.
