Ashgabat, August 27, 2024, The Europe Today: Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Saeed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dragon Oil, to discuss the ongoing and future cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates in the fuel and energy sector, according to a report by the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH).
During the meeting, both leaders addressed key issues concerning bilateral collaboration, particularly focusing on the potential for increasing oil and gas production and processing within Turkmenistan. Saeed Al Tayer conveyed warm greetings from the senior leadership of the United Arab Emirates and expressed optimism about the continued strengthening of business relations between the two nations.
President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan’s partnership with leading companies from the UAE, underscoring the country’s readiness to consider new proposals that could further expand and enhance this strategic cooperation. The discussions reaffirmed both parties’ commitment to deepening their collaboration in the energy sector, a cornerstone of their bilateral ties.
