Launched in 2021, the “Young Beekeeper” project in the Gabala district has supported 20 young individuals in their journey into beekeeping. This initiative, spearheaded by IDEA Public Union, is co-organized with the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Employment Agency, and “ABAD” public legal entity.
The project provides a one-month training program for selected participants, led by experienced professionals. It aims to protect biodiversity, promote beekeeping as a sustainable entrepreneurial activity, support natural honey production, and improve the financial well-being of young families. Participants receive comprehensive beekeeping equipment, including bee families, hives, protective clothing, and essential accessories.
In addition to training, the project seeks to foster competitive honey production in a market-driven economy by facilitating access to a broader customer base through product exhibitions and organized sales efforts.
