President of Guinea-Bissau to Embark on Official Visit to Vietnam

Hanoi, September 04, 2024, The Europe Today: The President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, accompanied by his spouse, will make an official visit to Vietnam from September 5 to 9, 2024. The visit is being made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tô Lâm, and his spouse, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This visit marks a significant moment in the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Guinea-Bissau, which were established on September 30, 1973. The visit is expected to further strengthen diplomatic ties and foster cooperation between the two nations in various areas.

During the visit, President Embaló is anticipated to hold high-level discussions with Vietnamese leaders, focusing on enhancing political, economic, and cultural collaboration.
