Azerbaijan and Ukraine Strengthen Healthcare Cooperation Amid Ongoing Conflict

Kyiv, September 07, 2024, The Europe Today: Azerbaijan and Ukraine are deepening their collaboration in the healthcare sector, focusing on humanitarian aid and support for children affected by the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian Health Minister Viktor Lyashko expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s contributions, particularly its involvement in rehabilitation projects for conflict-impacted children.

“We are thankful to Azerbaijan for its continued support and the projects aimed at rehabilitating children impacted by the conflict. Despite the severe challenges posed by the war, Ukraine’s healthcare system is advancing,” Lyashko stated, as reported by News Hub Consultants.

In a recent meeting between Lyashko and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Seymur Mardaliyev, the two nations discussed expanding healthcare cooperation, sharing medical expertise, and fostering stronger ties between medical institutions and universities. Mardaliyev reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance, highlighting that aid has been ongoing since the beginning of the conflict.

The discussions concluded with both sides agreeing to further enhance their partnership in the healthcare field and strengthen their collaborative efforts in the future.
