Dushanbe, September 07, 2024, The Europe Today: Turkish Airlines has announced an exciting new service for transit passengers flying via Istanbul, allowing them to enjoy a complimentary stay at luxury hotels during long layovers. This new “Stopover” option offers passengers the chance to turn a transfer into a memorable experience by exploring the vibrant city of Istanbul.
Economy class passengers are entitled to a one-night stay in a 4-star hotel, while business class passengers will enjoy two nights in a 5-star hotel. The minimum connection time between flights must be at least 20 hours for passengers to qualify for this offer.
The “Stopover” service presents a unique opportunity for travelers to immerse themselves in Istanbul’s rich culture and history. Passengers can stroll through the city’s historic streets and experience its unique charm without additional accommodation costs. However, travelers are responsible for covering their transportation and visa expenses during the stopover.
The offer is available only for passengers traveling to and from Dushanbe, with both departure and return flights passing through Istanbul Airport. To take advantage of the service, passengers must apply at least 72 hours before departure.
In addition to the “Stopover” service, Turkish Airlines has introduced special discounted fares for students and teachers. These passengers will benefit from discounted ticket prices, free changes, and refunds without penalties, as well as an additional 10 kg of luggage allowance.
To qualify for these special fares, students and teachers must submit the necessary documentation, either online or in person at the airline’s office. Applications are reviewed within a week.
This initiative is part of Turkish Airlines’ efforts to enhance the travel experience for its passengers, offering both convenience and the opportunity to explore one of the world’s most fascinating cities.
