Turkmenistan Prepares for Grand Celebrations to Mark 33rd Independence Anniversary

Ashgabat, September 07, 2024, The Europe Today: Turkmenistan is gearing up to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of its independence with a series of major events and festivities throughout September. The plans were outlined by Deputy Prime Minister M. Mammedova during a government meeting, as per the report of the News Hub Consultants through TDH.

The month-long celebrations will feature a variety of events, including conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, and educational programs. A special highlight will be the final round of the popular Ýaňlan, Diýarym! TV contest. Additionally, flower-laying ceremonies will take place at the Magtymguly Pyragy monument and the Independence Monument.

An exhibition titled Arkadag Serdarly Watanyň şöhraty Garaşsyzlyk! will showcase works of fine and decorative art, celebrating the country’s cultural achievements. Other key events include the conclusion of the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry Presidential contest, the honoring of citizens who have received state awards, and a ceremonial parade.

Turkmenistan’s theaters and cinemas will host premieres of new plays and films, while concert centers will feature musical performances. Museums, libraries, and historical complexes across the country will also participate by organizing special events.

The State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography has scheduled the screening of documentaries and programs to highlight the country’s achievements. Additionally, efforts are being made to broadcast content about Turkmenistan on international television channels.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of conducting these celebrations at the highest level, instructing the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure the events reflect Turkmenistan’s successes in all sectors.

The festivities will culminate with a grand parade, festive concerts, fireworks, and horse races, showcasing the nation’s pride and cultural heritage as it commemorates 33 years of independence.
