Beijing, September 21, 2024 – The Europe Today: Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has called for the cultivation of loyal, upright, responsible, and highly capable officials for Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. His remarks were made in an instruction marking the 70th anniversary of a key training program for ethnic officials in Xinjiang, conducted under the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.
Xi, who also serves as the President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, highlighted the vital role the training program has played over the past seven decades in strengthening the ranks of officials, advancing economic and social development, and ensuring social stability and long-term security in Xinjiang.
Xi stressed the importance of fully implementing the Party’s governance policies for Xinjiang. He underscored the need to foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation throughout the training process, ensuring that the officials are equipped to meet the region’s unique challenges.
In his address, Xi also urged enhanced research on fundamental theories and critical issues in ethnic affairs, emphasizing the need to improve the quality and effectiveness of the training.
The instruction was read by Chen Xi, President of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and National Academy of Governance, during a symposium held on Saturday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the training program.
