Minsk, September 23, 2024 – The Europe Today: A delegation from the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), led by Chairwoman Ha Thi Nga, is currently on an official working visit to Minsk from September 21 to 25. During their visit, the delegation is engaging in a series of formal events and meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus.
On September 22, the delegation paid tribute to Belarusian history by laying flowers at the Minsk Hero City monument and visiting the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. These gestures underscored the shared commitment to honoring the legacies of national struggle and resilience in both nations.
The delegation’s visit includes meetings with members of the Board of the Belarusian Women’s Union and representatives of Belarusian public authorities. In addition, the Vietnamese delegation will tour key Belarusian enterprises in the historic city of Nesvizh, fostering potential avenues for economic and cultural collaboration.
The Vietnam Women’s Union, founded by the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930, is a prominent social and political organization. Governed by the Constitution and laws of Vietnam, the VWU’s mission is to unite women from all social backgrounds to promote women’s well-being and contribute to the nation’s prosperity.
This visit marks a continuation of the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Belarus, focusing on deeper engagement in areas of social development, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation.
