Beijing, September 27, 2024 – The Europe Today: Yesterday, the Annual Meeting of the International Academic Network for a Community with Shared Future was held in Beijing, organized by the Communication University of China (CUC). The meeting brought together heads of 20 centers of community with shared future from Belt and Road partner countries to exchange their viewpoints to foster international cooperation, exchange ideas, and advance collaborative efforts for building a global community with a shared future.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Zhang Yanqiu, Vice Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future at CUC. Professor Li Huailiang, Dean of the Institute, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the commitment to strengthening global partnerships and promoting people-to-people connectivity. In his remarks, he emphasized the pivotal role of cultural, educational, and people-to-people exchanges in advancing mutual understanding and cooperation among nations.
During their speeches, the heads of centers conveyed their insightful analysis on strengthening exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, emphasizing key dimensions for building a community with a shared future that leads mankind towards win-win cooperation and peace while fostering enhanced people-to-people connectivity. They called for stronger academic partnerships and support for the shared vision of a harmonious and interconnected global community. They highlighted their commitment to build academic dialogues and promote think tank exchanges leading research projects and engaged in collaborative efforts aimed at further advancing knowledge and enhancing cooperation in a wider academic sector.
Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) was awarded as being the best research center among the 20 Centers established in 20 partner countries (around the world) of the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI). The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to driving academic collaboration and supporting research initiatives that contribute to global development, mutual understanding, and peace. The heads of the participating centers reaffirmed their dedication to building a better and more connected world through joint efforts and sustainable cooperation.
