Tashkent, October 05, 2024 – The Europe Today: Today, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
During the call, President Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated President Rahmon on his birthday, extending sincere wishes for good health, continued success, and prosperity to the people of Tajikistan.
The two leaders discussed key issues in bilateral relations, with a focus on the implementation of agreements reached at the highest levels. They emphasized the importance of maintaining close interdepartmental cooperation and increasing active exchanges to boost trade turnover and advance collaborative projects in sectors such as industry, energy, agriculture, and other priority areas.
In addition, Presidents Mirziyoyev and Rahmon exchanged views on the current regional situation, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
