Kyrgyzstan Holds National Consultations on 2025-2027 Gender Equality Action Plan

Bishkek, October 30, 2024 – The Europe Today: The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan held national consultations to review and discuss the draft action plan aimed at achieving gender equality for 2025-2027. The consultations gathered representatives from state bodies, local self-governments, civil society, international organizations, and gender policy experts to ensure a collaborative approach.

Deputy Minister of Labor, Chyngyz Mamatbek uulu, emphasized that this action plan is envisioned as a strategic guide for state institutions, international partners, and civil society to implement measures that promote gender equality throughout Kyrgyzstan. The draft plan highlights pressing issues, including gender considerations in climate change, inclusive development, and digitalization, reflecting the nation’s commitment to integrating gender equality into diverse areas of policy and social development.
