Kuala Lumpur, October 30, 2024 – The Europe Today: The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia held an international cultural event marking the 300th anniversary of the renowned Turkmen poet and philosopher, Magtymguly Fragi, under the theme “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi.” The event also celebrated the year 2024 as a tribute to his lasting legacy.
According to the embassy’s press service, the event was attended by distinguished guests, including Malaysia’s Minister of Education, ambassadors, diplomats, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and notable Malaysian scientists and cultural figures. Turkmen students studying at Malaysian universities also actively participated.
The program featured an exhibition dedicated to the cultural values of Turkmenistan and showcased Magtymguly Fragi’s literary heritage. Turkmen students contributed to the celebration by performing traditional musical and dance pieces, adding a vibrant cultural exchange element to the gathering.
