Ashgabat, November 3, 2024 – The Europe Today: The capital of Turkmenistan is gearing up to host the Ashgabat Open 2024, an international tennis tournament for athletes under 14 years old. The event will take place from November 8 to 17 at the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Village, bringing together 37 boys and 33 girls from 12 countries, including Great Britain, Turkey, India, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, according to report of the News Hub Consultants.
Deputy Prime Minister B. Orazdurdyeva stated that winners of the tournament will be awarded International Tennis Federation medals, as well as souvenirs and certificates. To ensure the smooth organization of the event, the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports has established a special working group that includes representatives from various ministries and departments. Organizers emphasized that the preparations for Ashgabat Open 2024 are leveraging the country’s experience in hosting previous major international sports events.
