Quetta, November 10, 2024 – The Europe Today: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast resolve to eliminate terrorism, stressing that such acts of violence will not be tolerated. In a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, General Munir highlighted that the mission to eradicate terrorism would be pursued with full national resolve and collective determination.
The COAS emphasized that the ongoing fight against terrorism demands the unwavering support of the Pakistani people, alongside the efforts of military and civil institutions, to achieve a peaceful and prosperous future for the nation.
Earlier, funeral prayers (Namaz-e-Janaza) were held at Quetta Garrison for the martyrs who lost their lives in a suicide bombing at Quetta Railway Station. The service was attended by COAS General Syed Asim Munir, the Federal Minister of Interior, the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, provincial ministers, and numerous military and civilian officials.
Following the funeral, General Munir visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta to meet those injured in the tragic incident. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by the Commander of Balochistan Corps.
