Tehran, November 20, 2024 — The Europe Today: The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, held a significant meeting on Wednesday in Tehran with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
At the outset of the meeting, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed conveyed the greetings and well wishes of H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Iranian President, extending hopes for his good health and happiness and wishing continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of Iran.
In response, H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude and entrusted H.E. Sheikh Mohammed to convey his reciprocal greetings to H.H. the Amir, along with his wishes for the Amir’s good health and happiness and further development for the State of Qatar.
The talks centered on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring avenues for enhancing cooperation between the two nations. Both leaders also addressed pressing regional issues, including the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, emphasizing the need for solutions to mitigate the humanitarian situation.
Discussions further extended to the escalating tensions in Lebanon, with both sides deliberating on possible measures for de-escalation. The meeting also covered a range of topics of mutual concern, reflecting the commitment of both nations to fostering stability and development in the region.
