Beijing, December 8, 2024 – The Europe Today: China has expressed deep concern over the ongoing situation in Syria, calling for a swift return to stability, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Sunday.
In an official statement, the spokesperson emphasized that the Chinese government has been actively assisting its nationals in Syria, ensuring their safe and orderly evacuation for those wishing to leave. For those who remain, the government continues to provide guidance on safety measures.
“We urge relevant parties in Syria to ensure the safety and security of Chinese institutions and personnel in the country,” the spokesperson stressed.
The Chinese embassy in Damascus remains operational, fulfilling its duties and providing all possible support to Chinese nationals in need, the spokesperson added.
