Islamabad, December 9, 2024 – The Europe Today: The Foreign Office has confirmed that all Pakistani nationals in Syria are safe and has advised them to exercise caution amid the evolving situation in the region.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson assured that the Embassy of Pakistan in Syria remains operational to provide support and guidance to citizens in need.
The statement also highlighted that Damascus Airport is currently closed, affecting the travel plans of Pakistani nationals, including Zaireen (pilgrims). The embassy is maintaining contact with those stranded and will facilitate their safe return once the airport resumes operations.
“Pakistan has always supported the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria, and there is no change in our principled position,” the spokesperson emphasized.
The Foreign Office reiterated its commitment to the welfare of Pakistani citizens abroad and assured continuous monitoring of developments in Syria.
