Hanoi, December 9, 2024 – The Europe Today: The sixth forum of young Vietnamese intellectuals from around the world will take place in Hanoi on February 8-9, 2025, as announced at a recent press briefing in the capital. The event will serve as a significant platform marking the ninth National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (2024-2029) and will implement the resolutions of the 12th National Congress of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU).
The forum will focus on enhancing the role of youth and young intellectuals in the country’s ongoing efforts in national construction and development. With its theme centered on the pivotal contributions of young intellectuals in guiding Vietnam into a new era, the forum will address four key topics: the optimization of artificial intelligence (AI) and new technologies to improve labor productivity; innovative startups linked to green economic growth; sustainable adaptation to global challenges; and the development of smart infrastructure and urban solutions.
Additionally, a seminar on the application of AI in healthcare will be held during the two-day forum. Experts will explore solutions for preventing non-communicable diseases and advancing Vietnam’s digital healthcare transformation. Discussions will also address significant public health risks, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, sugary drinks, and lack of exercise, while highlighting AI’s potential in early disease detection and control.
According to experts, the integration of digital transformation and AI in healthcare has already led to notable improvements in diagnosis, treatment, healthcare management, and patient experiences. In 2024, over one million people have benefitted from AI-driven health screenings as part of programs such as “Young Doctors Follow Uncle Hồ’s Teachings” and Careme.
This forum is expected to bring together young intellectuals, experts, and policymakers, providing a platform to exchange ideas and propose solutions for tackling both current and future challenges facing Vietnam in the global context.
