Islamabad, December 14, 2024 – The Europe Today: Founder & CEO of THE Society International (Together for Health and Education) and President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development – BRISD, Mr. Qaiser Nawab, called on H.E. Mr. Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, Mr. Qaiser Nawab highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between the two nations and explored potential opportunities to deepen collaboration, particularly in areas of trade, cultural exchange, and sustainable development. He also briefed the Ambassador on BRISD’s activities and progress along the Belt and Road Initiative, emphasizing the potential for Pakistan and Uzbekistan to work together on mutual development goals.
The Ambassador warmly welcomed the ideas and proposals presented and shared insights into the opportunities available in Uzbekistan, particularly in trade, tourism and cultural sectors. Both sides acknowledged the shared cultural heritage, including similarities in food and traditions, as a strong foundation for closer ties.
As a gesture of goodwill, Mr. Qaiser Nawab and his delegation presented a traditional cultural shawl and cap to the Ambassador, which he greatly admired. The meeting concluded with a friendly exchange of views and a group photo.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Hammad Bashir Khattak, Director of Emerging Technologies at THE Society International and senior officials from the Uzbekistan Embassy.
