Astana, December 21, 2024 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov formally introduced Serik Zhumangarin as the new Minister of National Economy during a meeting with ministry staff, media outlets reported. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the outgoing minister, Nurlan Baibazarov, for his contributions and extended well wishes for his future endeavors.
In his address, Prime Minister Bektenov outlined the key priorities for the ministry under Zhumangarin’s leadership. He emphasized the importance of implementing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s directives to ensure robust economic growth and undertake significant structural reforms in the economy.
The Prime Minister highlighted the necessity of improving the effectiveness of budget and tax policies and enhancing the precision of budget forecasting.
