Uzbekistan and Pakistan Explore New Avenues for Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, January 7, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, held a productive meeting with the Chairman of the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), Mr. Rafeo Bashir Shah, to explore new opportunities for mutual cooperation and strengthen economic ties between the two nations.

Key topics of discussion included the formation of national reserves, the establishment of logistic routes, and Government-to-Government (G2G) negotiations aimed at enhancing trade efficiency and economic connectivity.

In a significant development, Pakistan plans to establish a warehouse at the Termez International Cargo Center in Uzbekistan to facilitate the transit of goods to CIS and European countries. This initiative underscores Uzbekistan’s growing role as a vital bridge between South and North, opening access to new markets while bolstering regional economic security.
