Ashgabat, January 8, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a series of bilateral documents aimed at deepening their partnership, marking a significant step in their collaborative efforts. The agreements were finalized during the visit of a delegation from the Saudi Development Fund, led by General Executive Director Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.
The signing ceremony took place during a meeting with the leadership of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan, with representatives from both sides, including the bank’s deputy chairman, in attendance.
The visit also included discussions between Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and members of the Saudi delegation, headed by Sultan Al-Marshad. The talks focused on prospective projects involving Saudi investment in key sectors such as renewable energy, water management, agriculture, and healthcare.
Both sides acknowledged the significant potential for expanding their cooperation and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint initiatives.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov further underscored the importance of the partnership by receiving Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad on January 7, 2025. The meeting emphasized the shared commitment to fostering economic and developmental collaboration.
