Belarusian President Lukashenko to Visit Minsk Automobile Plant to Review Innovative Developments

Minsk, January 21, 2025 — The Europe Today: President Aleksandr Lukashenko is scheduled to visit the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) to inspect its new bus factory and innovative projects, as reported by News Hub Consultants.

The visit will highlight the unveiling of the new facility designed to manufacture advanced passenger vehicles on the third-generation MAZ platform. This development aims to double the production capacity for passenger vehicles, introduce new diesel, natural gas, and electric-powered models, and significantly boost export potential.

In 2024, MAZ achieved remarkable growth, producing over 13,100 vehicles—an increase of 12% compared to 2023. Revenue from sales rose by 16.6%, with exports accounting for more than 67% of total production.

During the visit, President Lukashenko will also tour the MAZ-SPORTauto team zone, which has been operational since 2010. The team has participated in 54 national and international races, earning medals and titles in 34 events. The President will be briefed on equipment preparation, crew training, and the team’s working conditions.
