Vietnamese PM Meets Pakistani Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Hanoi, February 8, 2025 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with outgoing Pakistani Ambassador to Vietnam, Kohdayar Marri, in Hanoi on Friday to discuss strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Chính commended Ambassador Marri for his efforts in fostering Việt Nam-Pakistan cooperation, particularly in the fields of culture, arts, and religion, which have contributed to enhancing mutual understanding between the two nations.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significant untapped potential for collaboration and emphasized the need to explore new opportunities to further advance bilateral relations, contributing to regional peace and stability.

He urged Ambassador Marri to facilitate stronger connections between ministries, sectors, localities, and businesses from both countries, while also promoting delegation exchanges and the resumption of bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

Prime Minister Chính also called for enhanced economic, trade, and investment ties between Việt Nam and Pakistan. Additionally, he encouraged expanding collaboration in culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges to deepen mutual engagement.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve in Vietnam, Ambassador Marri reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of both countries. He noted the growing interest of Pakistani businesses in the Vietnamese market and emphasized the importance of fostering connections between local enterprises and international partners.

The ambassador also stressed the necessity of diversifying cooperation initiatives and increasing efforts to promote cultural and national image exchanges between Vietnam and Pakistan. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both countries to deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties.
