Ashgabat, February 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a phone conversation on Friday with Mongolia’s Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh to discuss preparations for upcoming high-level state visits, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the call, both sides also deliberated on strengthening cooperation within international organizations, particularly the United Nations, and explored ways to develop a legal framework for bilateral collaboration.
The discussion follows the visit of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to Ashgabat on October 10, 2024, where he participated in an international forum marking the 300th anniversary of the renowned Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.
During his visit, President Khurelsukh met with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to address key issues in bilateral relations. The two leaders concluded their discussions with a formal ceremony for signing several bilateral agreements, further solidifying ties between the two nations.
