Tashkent, March 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Following the meeting, Minister Saidov shared details of the discussions on his official Telegram channel, emphasizing Uzbekistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Bahrain in diplomacy, trade, and investment.
“We had a candid meeting with H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, Bahrain Foreign Minister,” Saidov wrote. “Uzbekistan is dedicated to strengthening ties with Bahrain across diplomacy, trade, and investment. Looking forward to high-level exchanges, including within the Central Asia-GCC Summit in Samarkand.”
The talks reflect Uzbekistan’s broader efforts to enhance engagement with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, with the upcoming Central Asia-GCC Summit in Samarkand serving as a key platform for advancing regional cooperation. Both countries are expected to explore new opportunities for economic collaboration and diplomatic coordination in the coming months.
