Astana, March 12, 2025 – The Europe Today: A series of high-level meetings between Gabidulla Ospankulov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Marat Birimzhan, the overseas representative of the Kazakh Invest National Company, took place with leadership from major U.S. companies specializing in technological solutions, industry, healthcare, and energy. The discussions, held under the auspices of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, focused on investment opportunities, technology exchange, and the localization of production in Kazakhstan.
The delegation’s first key meeting was hosted at the Honeywell Technology Experience Center, where both sides explored innovative solutions in industrial automation, sustainable aviation fuel production, digitalization of manufacturing, and the implementation of advanced technologies within Kazakhstan’s industrial landscape.
Following this, talks with Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), a global leader in agribusiness, centered on expanding cooperation in agricultural processing. Specific attention was given to the introduction of advanced technologies in Kazakhstan’s agribusiness sector, with a particular emphasis on increasing export supplies. The Kazakh delegation presented several promising projects in grain processing and vegetable oil production, outlining favorable conditions for the localization of such manufacturing ventures.
In a subsequent meeting with Pfizer, discussions focused on the growth of Kazakhstan’s pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the areas of biotechnology and the localization of pharmaceutical production. Both sides explored opportunities to enhance Kazakhstan’s role in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
Another significant meeting took place with Leidos, a leading American technology and security company. The talks concentrated on developing technological solutions for intelligent transport systems, bolstering the protection of critical infrastructure, and advancing cybersecurity measures in Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh delegation also met with representatives from Xylem, a global leader in water technologies, to discuss joint initiatives in water resource management, the implementation of advanced purification systems, and water quality monitoring. Kazakhstan expressed keen interest in utilizing Xylem’s cutting-edge solutions to modernize its water supply and wastewater infrastructure.
Throughout the series of meetings, Ospankulov reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening its investment ties with U.S. companies. He emphasized the country’s readiness to offer flexible support mechanisms and favorable conditions for investment in key sectors, underscoring Kazakhstan’s strategic focus on advancing its industrial, technological, and environmental capabilities.
