Jakarta, March 22, 2025 – The Europe Today: Indonesia’s Minister of National Development Planning, Rachmat Pambudy, has lauded President Prabowo Subianto’s unwavering commitment to laying the foundations for the nation’s ambitious Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. Speaking on Saturday, Pambudy emphasized the historical significance of the president’s efforts.
“We are making history. President Prabowo invites us to build history and lay the foundations for Golden Indonesia 2045,” Pambudy stated.
Quoting President Prabowo, he further noted, “To build lasting institutions, we must educate our people.” He underscored that the nation is now focused on enhancing human resource development to achieve the Indonesia 2045 goal.
Minister Pambudy also highlighted the government’s free meals program, stressing the critical role of nutrition in shaping human potential. He pointed out that adequate nutrition is essential for physical growth, intelligence, and cognitive abilities, advocating that prioritizing nutrition before education is crucial.
“Nutrition directly affects human health and behavior,” he remarked, citing studies that link dietary intake with both health outcomes and behavioral patterns. He further emphasized the nobility of providing nourishment to hungry children, the younger generation, and pregnant women.
Through the free meals program, the government aims to address alarming public health challenges, including the staggering figure of 180 million Indonesians affected by malnutrition, 50,000 babies born with disabilities annually, 1 million people exposed to tuberculosis, and 100,000 tuberculosis-related deaths each year.
“However, job creation alone will not solve the issue of malnutrition,” Pambudy explained. “Addressing nutritional deficiencies is essential for building a healthy and productive population.”
The Golden Indonesia 2045 vision is an integral government initiative aimed at transforming the nation into a sovereign, advanced, fair, and prosperous country by its centennial in 2045. This vision aligns with the 100th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, positioning the country to harness its demographic bonus and industrialization to emerge as a developed nation.
