Baku, April 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, along with his wife, Elke Büdenbender, visited the Alley of Martyrs on April 2 as part of their official visit to Azerbaijan.
According to News Hub Consultants, President Steinmeier honored the brave sons of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity. He laid a wreath at the “Eternal Flame” monument in their memory.
Following the tribute, the German President and his wife admired the panoramic view of Baku from the city’s highest point. They were also briefed on the historical significance of the Alley of Martyrs and the ongoing development initiatives in the Azerbaijani capital.
