Turkmen Parliamentary Delegation Begins Official Visit to Uzbekistan for 150th IPU Assembly

Tashkent, April 6, 2025 – The Europe Today: An official visit by a Turkmen delegation, headed by Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, commenced on April 5 in Uzbekistan, in conjunction with the 150th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

According to a statement published on the official website of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the delegation is actively participating in the landmark forum, which is taking place in Tashkent from 5 to 9 April 2025.

The Assembly has drawn the participation of parliamentarians from nearly 140 countries, along with delegates from 50 international organizations, making it a significant gathering for global legislative diplomacy and dialogue.

One of the key outcomes of the forum is the adoption of the Tashkent Declaration, a document that encapsulates the shared stance of participating nations on critical international cooperation matters. The declaration aims to reinforce multilateralism, strengthen peace, and promote sustainable development through parliamentary collaboration.

The visit reflects Turkmenistan’s continued commitment to deepening inter-parliamentary ties and enhancing regional and international cooperation through constructive dialogue and engagement in global forums.
