Tehran, April 13, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued a strong condemnation of the recent armed attack targeting eight Pakistani nationals in Iran’s southeastern Sistan province, denouncing the act as both “inhumane” and “cowardly.”
In an official statement, the embassy expressed its deepest sympathy to the victims and their families, while reaffirming Iran’s firm stance against terrorism in all its forms.
“Terrorism is a chronic plight and a common threat throughout the region,” the statement read. “Traitorous elements, in collaboration with international terrorist networks, continuously seek to undermine the security and stability of our nations.”
The embassy further emphasized the urgent need for a unified regional and international response to combat terrorism and extremism. “Combating this ominous phenomenon requires collective and joint efforts by all countries to eradicate all forms of terrorism and extremism that have claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people in recent decades,” it stated.
The attack, which occurred in an area long plagued by cross-border militant activity, underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by countries in the region. Iranian authorities have reportedly launched a full investigation into the incident, vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The Iranian government has consistently called for enhanced cooperation with neighboring states, including Pakistan, in order to bolster border security and address the root causes of militancy.
