Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kyrgyz President Visit Ruh-Ordo Cultural Center in Cholpon-Ata

Cholpon, April 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: As part of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the Ruh-Ordo cultural center in the city of Cholpon-Ata on Tuesday, accompanied by President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz President, the distinguished guests were received at the open-air museum located along the scenic shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambetaliev, guided the delegation through the cultural complex and shared insights into its history and significance.

During their tour, the two leaders explored a symbolic pier shaped in the form of a komuz, the traditional Kyrgyz stringed instrument. Visitors were treated to a live performance of komuz music, showcasing the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan. In a gesture of goodwill and cultural solidarity, President Japarov presented Chairman Berdimuhamedov with a komuz.

Following the cultural visit, the leaders proceeded to a nearby radon spring. President Japarov highlighted the therapeutic qualities of the mineral water and emphasized that the Issyk-Kul region is renowned for its numerous natural springs, long cherished for their health and wellness benefits.

The visit reflected the deepening cultural and diplomatic ties between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, underpinned by mutual respect and shared historical and regional values.
