Iran Confirms Postponement of Expert-Level Indirect Talks with U.S. to April 26

Tehran, April 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that the expert-level indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington, initially scheduled for Wednesday, have been rescheduled for April 26.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei confirmed the postponement, stating that the talks will now coincide with the upcoming round of indirect negotiations between the heads of the Iranian and U.S. delegations.

“These expert-level discussions have been postponed and are now set to be held on April 26, parallel to the next session of indirect talks between the delegations’ senior officials,” Baqaei said.

The expert-level talks are part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving key issues between Iran and the United States, including nuclear commitments and regional security concerns. While no specific reasons were provided for the rescheduling, both sides are expected to continue their diplomatic engagement in an indirect format.

Further details regarding the venue or agenda of the talks have not yet been disclosed.
